PORTRAIT OF MY GRANDFATHER My Grandfather was a great inspiration to me. Although he had a very unsettled childhood he never complained. He overcame this and worked hard all his life, was self educated and a Union Representative. He lived to the age of 93 loved his garden was gentle and of a quiet nature. I miss him. His portrait is from Shaftesbury with the backdrop of Blackmore Vale North Dorset, countryside behind him. This is where he spent his later years.
